This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking, and fonts are served from our own server. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may record technical information, such as IP addresses, in its logs for security purposes. See GitHub’s privacy statement.

When you contact us

When you call or email us, we process the information you provide – typically your name, contact details and what your enquiry concerns – in order to respond and assess a possible engagement. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps prior to entering into an agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).

Client matters

In client matters, personal data is processed to carry out the engagement and to comply with obligations under, among others, the Norwegian Lawyers Act, the Anti-Money Laundering Act and the Bookkeeping Act. The information is subject to the lawyer’s duty of confidentiality.

Storage and sharing

Data is not kept longer than necessary for the purpose, or for as long as required by law. Email and documents are stored with Microsoft (Microsoft 365). Data is not shared with others unless necessary for the engagement or required by law.

Your rights

You may request access to, rectification or erasure of data about you, and object to or request restriction of processing, within the limits set by law. Contact us at geir@advokatfroholm.no. You may also lodge a complaint with Datatilsynet (the Norwegian Data Protection Authority).
